3rd July 2014 – 23rd August 2024

Remi was more than just a dog, she was family and part of the enact family. From the moment she joined Enact in 2020, she brought calm, connection, and joy to everyone she encountered. For three beautiful years, she played a unique and irreplaceable role in the life of the organisation, becoming a trusted companion to young people, staff, and families alike.
Whether quietly sitting beside someone who needed comfort or bounding around with tail-wagging excitement asking to play tug of war, Remi had a way of sensing emotion and offering love without words. She helped young people feel safe, seen, and supported even through their toughest days. Young people would walk into enact and go straight to remi and ask to feed her (as she loved to eat everything!)
We are so grateful for the time we shared with her. Remi will always be part of Enact’s story.
Here are some heartfelt reflections from the young people who knew and loved her:

“Remi was a unique dog because that was the first time I saw a dog able to be so friendly with so many people but also disciplined, while just being a good companion at Enact.” – Peri, Senior Young Person
“Remi truly meant a lot to me and so many. She supported me through some of my darkest days, made me smile, and it felt as though she could feel when someone in our youth group was sad and would make sure they knew that they were not alone. She was an exceptional dog and brought so many smiles and laughter. She touched so many hearts and showed many that big dogs weren’t that scary after all. We all miss her.” – Cailyn, Senior Young Person

“I’ve always loved Remi, even though at first I was scared. She taught me that not all big animals are scary, they are in fact so sweet. I wish her a lovely time in doggy heaven, and I really loved spending time with her. Seeing her made my absolute day π€ Rest in peace Remi π” – Ela, Senior Young Person
“When I first moved to the UK, Remi was one of the animals, really—that made me feel at home. She didn’t love me at first sight, but when I started feeding her one, two, three, four… many bananas, she warmed up to me—and I did the same. Miss you, Remi.” – Chibuzo, Enact Graduate
Remi, you were deeply loved, and your presence will forever be felt across the hearts and memories of the Enact community. Rest well, beautiful girl. ππΎ
